Prominent salons and industry leaders from around the world gathered in Hollywood, California USA for the 3rd Global Salon Business Forum & Awards, June 7-9, 2008.

The 2008 GSBA, Hollywood was another great success for the global program!

Celebratory parties with top salons and industry leaders began Saturday June 7, 2008 at a legendary and famous home in Beverly Hills, the former estate of Elvis Presley. GSBA founder Paula Kent Meehan purchased the estate from the King himself over 35 years ago.

Sunday June 8, winners, nominees, guests and participants were students for the day, at the prestigious UCLA campus. The business forum featured salon management and business topics taught by UCLA Professors, keynote Mark Thompson, and a Celebrity Salon Owner Panel.

The business forum continued Monday June 9, at the Renaissance Hotel in Hollywood. Industry leaders Peter Mahoney and Alan Austin Smith spoke to attendees about making a salon profitable. Also presented was the Hollywood Press Panel and Networking Sessions. 

Monday evening guests walked the Red carpet in a true Hollywood Event, when we honored the BEST salon entrepreneurs from around the world during the 2008 Global Salon Business Awards® Ceremony.
